About

Reykjanes Peninsula introduces a captivating experience everywhere you look: rich in the diversity of volcanic and geothermal activity, home to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, and the only place in the world where the Mid-Atlantic Ridge is visible above sea level. We now offer a private tour exclusively for our guests, where you can enjoy these incredible sites in a small group. Don't worry, there's also time for a visit to the Blue Lagoon, should you choose it.

Reykjanes Peninsula's greatest hits
  • Seltún, an important high temperature geothermal area you can walk through
  • Krýsuvíkurberg Cliff, known for its rich birdlife and fantastic views over the Atlantic ocean
  • Gunnuhver, a colorful geothermal field of mud pools and fumaroles
  • Bridge between continents connecting the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates
What you'll see and do on the tour

Get ready for an unforgettable adventure starting right from your doorstep in Reykjavík.

We'll kick things off by heading south towards the Reykjanes area, also known as the "Smoking Peninsula." This unique spot is teeming with hot springs thanks to the volcanic activity fuelled by the Mid-Atlantic rift.

Our first stop? Seltún, where you'll witness bubbling hot springs and steam vents. Then, we'll venture to the Krýsuvíkurberg Cliff and the Gunnuhver geothermal area for more breathtaking sights and a lesson in geology that you can witness firsthand.

But the excitement doesn't end there. Ever walked between two continents? Now's your chance as we stroll across the Midlina footbridge bridge connecting the North American and European tectonic plates.

Want more? Yes, you do!

It's the world-famous Blue Lagoon we're talking about. A stop there is optional, but we highly recommend it. We're talking a blue geothermal lagoon, silica mud masks, drinks in the pool, and loads of incredible selfies to share with friends and family. Just add your preferred Blue Lagoon package at checkout.

After soaking in all the wonders, we'll journey back to Reykjavík for drop-off, capping off an incredible day of exploration and discover. And in case you want to keep exploring, why not join us for another adventure, such as the South Coast & Iconic Glacier Hike Full Day Tour?
